Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets related to equity options, implied volatility, and open interest to identify market trends and trading opportunities.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to build interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI.
- Monitor data feeds for anomalies and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data inputs.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis on option pricing models to assess market risk.
- Create detailed weekly and monthly reports summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the options desk.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and new analytical techniques in the derivatives market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, investment banking, or options trading sector.
- Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong understanding of equity options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial), Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta), and market mechanics.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
