You will be responsible for interpreting vast datasets of equity options flow, identifying trends, and providing critical insights that drive our risk management and trading desks.
Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence: Monitor real-time equity options trading volumes, open interest, and implied volatility to identify market sentiment shifts.
- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and processing pipelines.
- Visualization: Build interactive, high-performance dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to present data insights to senior management and traders.
- Risk Reporting: Generate detailed weekly and daily risk reports highlighting potential exposure and anomalies in options pricing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to refine options pricing models and back-test strategies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously audit data integrity and optimize data workflows to ensure 99.9% accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within financial derivatives, options trading, or risk management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (advanced queries), Python (Pandas, NumPy), and experience with data visualization tools.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options mechanics, Greeks, and pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Tools: Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, or similar market data platforms is a plus.
