Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain: Write clean, efficient, and scalable code for our core equity options trading engine using modern languages like Java and Python.
- Collaborate: Work closely with product managers and quantitative analysts to translate financial requirements into technical specifications.
- Debugging: Identify and resolve complex software bugs and latency issues in real-time trading environments.
- API Integration: Integrate third-party financial data feeds and banking APIs to ensure seamless transaction processing.
- Testing: Design and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure system stability and security.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C++, or Go).
- Database: Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex logical problems.
- Interest: A strong interest in financial markets, stock options, or FinTech is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
