Role Overview
As an Entry Level Software Engineer, you will work closely with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions. You will contribute to projects that drive real-world impact and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Code Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python and JavaScript to support new features and system improvements.
- Debugging & Testing: Identify, isolate, and fix bugs within existing codebases; conduct thorough unit and integration testing to ensure software reliability.
- Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specs, architecture diagrams, and user manuals.
- Problem Solving: Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
- Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, programming languages, and software development best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript) and basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Tools: Knowledge of version control systems like Git and basic understanding of SQL databases.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience (Internships or capstone projects are a plus).
