Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve connectivity issues for end-users.
- Install and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, and patch panels.
- Conduct regular inspections of network cabling and physical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the management of network inventory and documentation.
- Support the IT team with daily technical operations and user support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in IT or Computer Science is a plus.
- No prior professional experience required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and non-technical staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (basements, server rooms, outdoors).
