Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Provide Tier 1/2 technical support for LAN/WAN issues
- Document network configurations and create system documentation
- Assist with network security protocols and access control implementation
- Collaborate with senior engineers on network optimization projects
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (rotating schedule)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain CompTIA Network+ certification within 6 months
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Pass background check and drug screening
