Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets related to equity options (calls, puts, strikes, expirations).
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to visualize market volatility and trading volume.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify patterns in implied volatility and open interest.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with financial regulatory standards.
- Assist in the automation of data pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (graduating class of 2023 or 2024 preferred).
- Familiarity with equity options terminology (Greeks, In-the-Money, At-the-Money, Out-of-the-Money).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, cleaning, and querying databases.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and PivotTables.
- Basic understanding of Python or R is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
