As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our trading floor by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our equity options data. Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and normalization of equity options data from various market sources.
- Support the analysis team in interpreting complex volatility data and pricing trends.
- Generate accurate monthly performance reports and dashboards using Excel and BI tools.
- Maintain and update databases regarding option volume, open interest, and Greeks.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to identify data discrepancies and propose solutions.
- Participate in training sessions to learn advanced financial modeling techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong foundation in mathematics, logic, and analytical reasoning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Charts).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot trends in large datasets.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn about the equity options market.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., Series 7/63) post-hire.
