Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and structure large volumes of equity options market data from various sources to ensure high data integrity.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Python, SQL, and Tableau to visualize market movements and pricing anomalies.
- Assist in the construction and validation of volatility surface models and option pricing simulations.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, correlations, and potential arbitrage opportunities.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to provide timely data reports and market commentary.
- Document data processes and methodologies to improve team efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong understanding of basic financial concepts, including call and put options, strike prices, and expiration dates.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and VBA.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw logical conclusions.
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and a desire to learn advanced quantitative techniques.
