What You Will Do:
As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in processing vast amounts of market data to help our trading floor make informed decisions. You will be trained from the ground up on our proprietary systems.
Responsibilities
- Data Processing: Assist in the collection, cleaning, and verification of equity options data from major exchanges and financial terminals.
- Model Support: Develop and maintain Excel-based models to track option pricing, volatility, and market trends.
- Reporting: Generate daily and weekly reports for senior analysts to visualize market performance.
- Market Monitoring: Monitor live market data feeds for discrepancies or anomalies that may impact trading strategies.
- Research Assistance: Conduct preliminary research on market movements to support the quantitative trading team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) is essential.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot patterns in complex data sets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey data insights to the team.
