Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate equity options market data from multiple sources including exchanges and proprietary databases
- Analyze trading patterns, implied volatility surfaces, and option Greeks to support quantitative trading strategies
- Develop automated data pipelines using SQL and Python to ensure real-time data accuracy and accessibility
- Generate daily performance reports and visualizations for trading desks highlighting key market anomalies
- Collaborate with quants to backtest option pricing models and identify arbitrage opportunities
- Monitor market events and regulatory changes affecting equity derivatives markets
- Document data processes and maintain metadata dictionaries for audit compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 0-2 years of experience with financial data analysis or internship in derivatives markets
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Strong understanding of basic option theory (calls, puts, spreads, Greeks)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) or statistical packages (R, Python)
- Attention to detail with ability to spot data inconsistencies in high-volume environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Familiarity with market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) is a plus
