What You Will Do:
As our new Data Analyst, you will support the entire data lifecycle, from gathering and cleaning raw data to visualizing trends and communicating findings to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, organize, and clean large datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Dashboard Creation: Build and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analysis to identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies within the data.
- Reporting: Draft clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate data findings to non-technical stakeholders and management.
- SQL Management: Write complex SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases and support data mining efforts.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process improvement and data governance.
- Support: Assist in the maintenance of data infrastructure and support the implementation of new analytical tools.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and a basic understanding of SQL or Python.
- Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker) is a plus but not required.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically about data quality.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to a broad audience.
- Location: Must be willing to work in our Washington, DC office (Hybrid model).
