Responsibilities
- Market Data Processing: Collect, clean, and normalize large datasets from various equity options market feeds to ensure data integrity for analysis.
- Trend Analysis: Analyze historical and real-time options pricing data to identify trends, volatility patterns, and potential trading opportunities.
- Dashboard Visualization: Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to visualize key metrics for the trading floor.
- Statistical Reporting: Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on options volume, open interest, and greeks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with quantitative researchers and traders to understand data requirements and refine analytical models.
- Database Support: Assist in maintaining and querying SQL databases to support the firm's reporting infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL (writing and optimizing queries) and Python or R.
- Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and macros.
- Visualization Tools: Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or D3.js is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data verification and a keen eye for spotting errors in complex datasets.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
