What You Will Do:
- Data Management: Collect, clean, and validate large datasets related to equity options and trading volumes.
- Analytics & Reporting: Use SQL and Excel to extract insights and create comprehensive reports for senior analysts.
- Visualization: Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize market performance and volatility.
- Market Research: Assist in monitoring market conditions and identifying trends that impact option pricing strategies.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to streamline data workflows and improve reporting accuracy.
- Communication: Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.
Who We Are Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A strong interest in financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives.
- Proficiency in SQL or advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity for data.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets related to equity options and market trends.
- Develop SQL queries and scripts to extract and manipulate data for reporting.
- Create visual dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Assist senior analysts in modeling market scenarios and volatility analysis.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) affecting option pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in equity options, derivatives, and financial markets.
- Familiarity with SQL (preferred) or Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to detail and ability to work with high-volume data sets.
