Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and investigate alerts using SIEM tools
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing activities
- Document security incidents and create incident response reports
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat mitigation strategies
- Update and maintain security documentation and policies
- Perform basic network traffic analysis using Wireshark
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
