Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and tickets in real-time SIEM systems (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Perform basic triage, logging, and categorization of security incidents.
- Assist senior analysts with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing preparation.
- Conduct research on emerging cyber threats, malware trends, and vulnerability patches.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of security events and system configurations.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation support for critical security events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong interest in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, or network defense.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, networking concepts, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, 24/7 SOC environment with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred but not mandatory.
