Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Support compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and audit preparation
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent foundational certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving security technologies
