Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in incident response procedures including digital forensics and root cause analysis
- Implement and maintain security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports in compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and awareness
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or SSCP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
