Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations: Analyze network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities using SIEM tools like Splunk or Sentinel.
- Incident Response: Assist in identifying, triaging, and remediating security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Threat Assessment: Conduct vulnerability scans and risk assessments to ensure our infrastructure remains secure against evolving cyber threats.
- Patch Management: Support the deployment of security patches and software updates across internal systems.
- Compliance Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation regarding security protocols and compliance standards.
- User Support: Educate internal stakeholders on security best practices and password hygiene.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic projects are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Tools: Familiarity with security tools (Firewalls, Antivirus) is a huge plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Availability: Must be authorized to work in the USA and willing to work in a fully remote environment.
