Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and document findings
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management tasks
- Assist with security policy documentation and compliance audits
- Participate in tabletop security incident response simulations
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence analysis
- Complete monthly security awareness training modules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in IT/Cybersecurity preferred
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
