Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents and malware analysis.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Document security configurations, policies, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to implement security patches and updates.
- Support compliance efforts such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or NIST frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is a plus (we will train the right candidate).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Basic knowledge of Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clearance: Eligible for Secret clearance (preferred).
