Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for alerts and anomalies.
- Conduct log analysis to identify potential security breaches and cyber threats.
- Assist in the triage and investigation of security incidents and incidents of compromise.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support patch management processes.
- Update and maintain security documentation and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT operations to secure network architecture.
- Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Willingness to obtain the CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification within 6 months.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
