Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and event logs from SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and support penetration testing activities.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed audit trails.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Familiarity with basic security concepts (CIA triad, authentication, authorization).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+).
