Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Events: Watch security feeds and SIEM dashboards to identify potential threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response Support: Assist senior analysts in triaging, logging, and documenting security incidents according to established protocols.
- Log Analysis: Review system logs and network traffic to detect malicious activities or policy violations.
- Vulnerability Management: Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts to ensure systems remain secure.
- Security Awareness: Educate internal stakeholders on best practices for data protection and cybersecurity hygiene.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security events, configurations, and audit trails.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or Network+ is highly preferred for entry-level candidates.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic IT tools (e.g., Wireshark, Splunk, or similar) is a plus but not required.
