Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Observe and analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response Support: Assist senior analysts in triaging and responding to security incidents and breaches.
- Network Monitoring: Perform routine checks on network traffic to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Participate in basic vulnerability scanning and reporting processes.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs and reports regarding security events and system changes.
- Training & Development: Complete required cybersecurity certifications and internal training programs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required. Passion for technology is a must.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
- Certifications: Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+).
- Availability: Must be able to work in the San Antonio, TX area.
