Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and report findings to senior security staff.
- Support incident response activities, including log analysis and evidence collection.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security patches are applied and compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA) are met.
- Document security protocols and assist in user security awareness training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Basic understanding of computer networks, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Eagerness to learn and obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
