Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Investigate potential threats using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Document incident reports with detailed technical analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on vulnerability remediation
- Participate in threat hunting exercises with senior analysts
- Conduct network traffic analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump
- Assist in developing security awareness training materials
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Fundamental knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations center
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check
