Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for potential threats and anomalies.
- Investigate security alerts and conduct log analysis to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security patches and updates for trading platforms.
- Support incident response efforts by documenting findings and coordinating with senior engineering teams.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and security testing on internal networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (Associate) certification.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Willingness to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance (if applicable).
