Responsibilities
- Assist in Network Monitoring: Support the 24/7 surveillance of network traffic to identify potential security anomalies and threats.
- Incident Response Support: Collaborate with senior analysts to investigate security alerts, logs, and incident reports.
- Security Compliance: Help maintain and update documentation regarding security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Threat Analysis: Analyze security data to detect patterns of intrusion and recommend preventive measures.
- Endpoint Protection: Assist in the deployment and management of antivirus software and security patches across company devices.
- Stakeholder Education: Participate in training sessions to educate non-technical staff on basic cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Foundation: Familiarity with computer networks, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and basic IT concepts.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about potential security vulnerabilities.
- Certifications: While not required, passing the CompTIA Security+ or Network+ exam is a significant plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex security concepts clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous nature when reviewing logs, reports, and configuration settings.
