Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading platforms using SIEM tools
- Assist in implementing access controls and authentication protocols for financial systems
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic investigations
- Stay updated on emerging threats specific to financial markets and options trading
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to SEC/NYSE regulations
- Conduct security awareness training for trading operations staff
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced financial environment
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
