Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Watch over Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to identify potential threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response Support: Assist the security team in logging, triaging, and responding to security alerts and incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Participate in regular vulnerability scanning and help remediate identified security gaps.
- Access Control: Help manage user access rights and ensure compliance with internal security policies.
- Security Awareness: Contribute to internal training materials and awareness campaigns to educate employees on security best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and detailed reports on security activities and findings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Basics: Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Interest in Security: A strong desire to learn about cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and risk management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated individual with a passion for staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or Network+ is a plus but not required for entry.
