Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support for internal systems.
- Document security incidents and participate in post-incident reviews to improve response protocols.
- Support compliance activities, including audits and regulatory reporting (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network architecture.
- Conduct basic security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+) within 12 months.
