Responsibilities
- Monitor system alerts and security events in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Assist in the identification, analysis, and documentation of potential security incidents.
- Perform basic vulnerability assessments and security scans on internal networks.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct research on emerging threats and update security policies accordingly.
- Assist in user access reviews and ensure compliance with internal security standards.
- Participate in penetration testing exercises and security audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to detect anomalies in complex data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain relevant security certifications within the first year.
