Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in incident response procedures and forensic investigations
- Implement security controls and maintain compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security policies and procedures for internal teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous learning and research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
