Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and document security incidents following NIST guidelines
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management coordination
- Assist with security audits and compliance reporting (ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Develop automated scripts for security tasks using Python/Bash
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Participate in tabletop incident response simulations
Qualifications
- Recent graduate (or graduating in 2024) with BS in IT/Cybersecurity/Computer Science
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Basic understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of common security frameworks (NIST, OWASP)
- Experience with security tools (Wireshark, Metasploitable preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
