Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Assist in developing incident response plans and security documentation
- Analyze malware and security incidents under senior guidance
- Implement security controls and best practices across cloud/on-prem environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with network security concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must be eligible for relocation to Charlotte, NC
