Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus and Qualys
- Assist in incident response procedures and forensic analysis
- Document security protocols and compliance reports (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under supervision
- Stay current on emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux systems administration
- Understanding of common attack vectors (phishing, malware, ransomware)
- Ability to analyze logs using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Valid US driver's license for occasional client site visits
