Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious network activity
- Assist in incident response procedures including documentation and evidence collection
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under senior guidance
- Analyze firewall logs and network traffic patterns to identify anomalies
- Create and maintain security documentation including incident reports and policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Participate in regular security awareness training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
