Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents and document findings
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Implement security controls and configure firewalls
- Develop incident response playbooks and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Basic knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
- Active security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
