Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze malware samples and document threat intelligence reports
- Implement security controls and patches across cloud/on-premises environments
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security breaches
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Valid U.S. driver's license and clean background check
