Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents with guided mentorship
- Document security events using standardized incident response templates
- Participate in tabletop exercises for threat simulation
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management
- Learn and apply NIST cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Complete industry-recognized training certifications (CompTIA Security+, CySA+)
Qualifications
- No prior cybersecurity experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic computer literacy and internet navigation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid U.S. work authorization required
