Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and document security incidents following NIST guidelines
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing tasks
- Assist with security policy implementation and compliance audits
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening initiatives
- Create incident response reports and remediation documentation
- Participate in tabletop security exercises and threat simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Understanding of common attack vectors and defense mechanisms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
