Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and document cybersecurity incidents following established protocols
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
- Implement security controls and maintain compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Generate security reports and maintain incident documentation
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (preferred)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Knowledge of security tools: Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
