Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Document and escalate security incidents according to established protocols
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and patch management processes
- Participate in tabletop cybersecurity exercises and simulations
- Perform basic log analysis and correlation across network devices
- Support security awareness training initiatives for employees
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA A+ certification preferred (not required)
