Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed audit logs for forensic analysis
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in remote environments
