Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and OpenVAS
- Document security events and maintain incident response playbooks
- Conduct phishing simulations and user awareness training
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents
- Participate in threat hunting and forensic investigations
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
