Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards for potential threats
- Document and triage security incidents according to established protocols
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify anomalous behavior
- Assist in developing security policies and procedures
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
Qualifications
- Associate/Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 environment
