Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Analyze network logs and traffic patterns to identify potential threats
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation exercises
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving security landscapes
- CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
