Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and triage potential threats using SIEM platforms
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing on internal systems
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed incident response logs
- Assist with security policy implementation and compliance audits
- Participate in threat intelligence research and security awareness campaigns
- Collaborate with network and application teams to remediate security gaps
- Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and security tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced security environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
