Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and document security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Assist in implementing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain security controls
- Contribute to security awareness training programs for employees
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and cybersecurity best practices
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
